  • Reduces drug-related crimes by program participation

  • Reduces the costs to tax payers for extended incarceration

  • Provides immediate sanctions for program noncompliance

  • Provides positive reinforcement from the Judge and Drug Recovery Court team members to program participants for achieving certain goals

  • Provides participants with intensive supervision and monitoring

  • Provides participants with alternatives to their current lifestyles by offering supervision, treatment, education, counseling, and goal setting

The program’s Director oversees all the activities of the Drug Recovery Court and coordinates the efforts of the Drug Recovery Court Team – Circuit Court Judge, District Attorney, Public Defender, Treatment Counselors, Probation Officers, Law Enforcement, and Drug Court staff – in order to ensure effective communication and program consistency.
